What Makes Us Different?

Experience
Fifteen years, almost 40 bestsellers. We have an established track record of  promoting titles across all genres, relationships with top media outlets and successful campaigns for publishing houses of all sizes. Our publicity team is made up of a talented group of individuals with one common goal: to promote positive, engaging books to the public.

Creativity
The days of formulaic, cookie-cutter campaigns are over. With the ever-changing nature of the media and the publishing industry, it’s important for any publicist to have the skill and know-how to successfully merge traditional and emerging media formats. Our campaigns always include the best of both worlds. No two books are alike, so campaigns can't be either. We take a custom approach to each campaign we manage.

Communication
With one of the lowest author-to-publicist ratios of any boutique publicity firm in the country, we have the ability to give each campaign the personal attention it deserves with the bonus of a recognizable name in PR. If your project is selected by Phenix & Phenix, you will work with a designated campaign manager who will spearhead efforts and media pitching. We take a team-based approach during strategy development and other collaborative endeavors. During the campaign, you can expect weekly reports that detail where publicity is happening and a rundown of the week’s activities. We want you to be involved and informed every step of the way.

Austin
Austin is known as one of the country’s coolest cities, and we do things a little differently down here. With South by Southwest, Austin City Limits and a unique culture of its own, Austin has established itself as an important epicenter for the arts and creativity in the United States. We often hear from clients that we bring the best of a major conglomerate PR agency (history, track record, name recognition, media relationships) combined with the personal approach and communication level one can only find with a boutique firm. We take time to review each submission and only represent books that excite us.
